How to Register a Consumer Complaint Online


Sometimes when you are not perfectly happy with a product or a service, then you would want to provide a feedback or lodge a consumer complaint. The most important thing to do for getting your feedback noticed. Many people choose to lodge their complaint online, while many others may feel that it is a futile exercise.


However consumer complaints that have been lodged on the internet are as likely to be addressed as complaints that are spoken over the phone or raised in person at a branch.   • 1.       Visit the consumer online research and empowerment center (core.nic.in)
  • 2.       If you are a first time user then you will need to register on the site. You will be asked to provide your email address and other details for registration
  • 3.       You can file the complaint against any brand or service that is registered in India. Once you successfully login you will be guided to the drop down menu where you can select the brand category or type of service that you wish to complain about
  • 4.       You can then further drill down to the exact service company or brand you wish to lodge your complaint against
  • 5.       You can attach any further evidence or provide additional notes about the nature of your complaint
  • 6.       You can track your complaints online any time and see the progress on them
  • 7.       You have the option to lodge the complaint in English or in Hindi
